The Buckle Pup is a console dog car seat that sits on top of the centre console armrest between the two front seats, so your pup rides beside you instead of on your lap. It measures 42 x 22 x 22 cm (16.5 x 8.6 x 8.6 in) and fits the consoles on most sedans, SUVs and utes, as long as the console is at least 22 cm wide. It's made for dogs and cats up to 5 kg (11 lb) and about 30 cm long, which covers toy poodles, cavoodles, chihuahuas, Maltese, Yorkies, Poms, Pomchis and mini dachshunds. Two adjustable straps hook over both front headrests to hold the seat firmly in place, and a built-in safety tether clips from the seat's D-ring to your dog's harness (always a harness, never a collar) so they stay put when you brake or turn. The seat has a tough 600D oxford outer, a black-and-white gingham lining and a removable cushion, all hand-washable, plus a side pocket for treats or poo bags and carry handles so it doubles as a carrier.
